Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These garlic mashed potatoes are light and fluffy potatoes mixed with a generous amount of sauteed garlic. An easy side dish that pairs perfectly with beef, chicken or fish, and is a must-make recipe for a holiday meal


  • 4 lbs Russet potatoes peeled and cut into quarters
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup heavy cream warmed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley


  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the potatoes and cook for 20 minutes or until tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes and add them back to the pot.
  4. In a small pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 45 seconds, stirring continuously.
  5. Add the melted garlic butter and cream to the pot of potatoes.
  6. Mash the potatoes until they're smooth and creamy. Stir in the salt and pepper. Sprinkle with parsley, then serve.
